ABOUT WYP.

The World Youth Parliament is a non-political, non-profit NGO registered in Kenya and is a specialty youth organization that focuses on youth groups, NGO’s and other such organizations which are doing some or the other kind of work for or with the youth. Founded in 2007 in Kenya, the World Youth Parliament now has several national chapters have partnerships and affiliations of over 100 organizations to produce annual and special youth empowerment programs across several countries worldwide. The World Youth Parliament operates offices in five regions: Nairobi for Africa, Perth for Asia-Pacific, Geneva for Europe, Rio City for Latin America, and New York for North America. World Youth Parliament stands for Enhancing Unity and Collegiality among World Youths through fighting Ethnicity, Racism, Religious Conflicts and Cultures that uphold disunity and enmity.

World Youth Parliament provides a platform for the youth worldwide to come together for the unity of purpose of empowering them to participate in leadership and innovation process by networking with professionals and each other to increase the realization as a generation of youth that are responsible, democratic, respectful and accountable.

OBJECTIVES

  1. To establish a forum for dialog and action on youth-related issues between the youth of the world and any other organizations or entities involved in the youth and youth groups.
  2. To mobilize the creativity, enthusiasm and vigour of the youth of the world to contribute to the advancement of humanity through the engagement of the youth in leadership and development programs.
  3. To present a unified youth vision on challenges and issues of the youth to politicians, decision makers and all other spheres of influence.
  4. To facilitate and encourage three layer networks (local, national, international organizations) to work together on common policies, strategies and goals towards implementing the next steps for youth.
